A few weeks ago an image of a pair of ice climbers on the NH State Parks facebook page grabbed my attention, and I just couldn’t stop thinking about all of that ice. At the first chance I got, I packed up my gear and headed out to Franconia Notch.
John and I have been itching to get out of the city, so to celebrate new friends and a new home our neighbors Meg and Paul joined us on a Christmas mountain hike in New Hampshire’s Pawtuckaway State Park. This trail turned out to be breathtaking. And after 6 miles (round trip), 700 feet of elevation gain, lots of stopping for photographs and 5 hours with friends, I’d call it a good day
