For some mysterious reason my brain would not let me sleep last night. Every time I sure I was drifting off, a new gear started turning and I had to look something up, jot something down, or, worst of all, pull out a photo because of a editing idea that just couldn’t wait for fear I’d forget it. The silver lining here is that this morning I got to experience something I have not yet seen in my very own backyard: this brilliant pink sunrise.

This is a post from last Halloween that I never had the chance to put up. One day shortly before Halloween I was coming home when I heard the most overwhelming roar coming toward me. Knowing that Boston isn’t an earthquake hotspot, I quickly glanced around to see what was going on. I noticed baricades and police lining the streets, and asked an officer to fill me in.
